A small-town upbringing in New Hampshire taught me the value of books; there wasn’t always a lot to do. If I wasn’t ice skating in the winter, diving off the town dock in the summer, or roller skating in the fall, you’d find me reading books–lots of them. I’ll never forget the last time I went to check out a Nancy Drew book from my local library. My heart sank when I realized I’d read each and every book in the series. I graduated to The Hardy Boys, but it just wasn’t the same.
